In Xport, the document root is an element
object which contains all markup objects in the root of the document.
This element is not a standard xhtml element, but is used only as a container for the markup objects, including the doctype declaration
and html element, which reside in the root of the document. In an Xport document, the document root can only be accessed when calling the
parent()
operation on any markup object that resides in the document root.
